THE CHALLENGE:
Iowa Premium is a supplier of high-quality Black Angus beef, sourced from Iowan family farms and raised with decades of expertise and care. Despite this strong product story and commitment to quality, the brand lacked widespread recognition among retailers and foodservice professionals — a space where purchasing decisions are often driven by familiarity and trusted brand names.

In a crowded, highly competitive category filled with similar quality claims, Iowa Premium needed a campaign that could break through the noise, build brand awareness, and position the Iowa Premium name as one chefs and buyers would not only trust, but actively ask for by name.

THE INSIGHT:
Foodservice professionals and retailers alike take pride in their expertise. They don’t just buy ingredients — they curate them. Knowing that these customers won’t settle for second best, a brand that can speak with the same confidence and authority in this space can earn attention and respect.

THE IDEA:
Our goal with this campaign concept was to match the confidence of the chef with the confidence of the beef. Beef Like a Boss would position Iowa Premium as the bold, no-compromise choice for top-quality Black Angus beef cuts — using unapologetic, chef-to-chef language to elevate both the product and the person selecting it.

THE EXECUTION:
We developed a bold yet simple digital display ad campaign designed to stand out both in-feed and in-market:

  • Visual approach: Close-up, tactile, high-contrast imagery highlighting the beef’s quality and craftsmanship, often featuring the hand of a chef in action

  • Messaging: Direct, authoritative copy that speaks peer-to-peer with chefs and buyers

  • Graphic system: A custom stamp-style graphic (IT’S JUST THAT GOOD) applied across executions to reinforce the brand’s value proposition in a bold, no-nonsense way that echoed the confidence of the headlines

  • Paid social support: Extended reach and frequency to reinforce brand recognition and message recall


THE IMPACT:
This digital campaign gave Iowa Premium a stronger, more recognizable voice in the foodservice space, cutting through category noise with clarity and confidence. By aligning the brand’s tone with the mindset of its audience, the work elevated perception and helped position Iowa Premium as a name worth knowing — and asking for.
